ShowMe adds Topic Pages and lets Learners Applaud the Teacher

ShowMe Topic Pages

ShowMe, the iPad application that enables anyone to make Khan Academy style video lesson and which we covered here and here released some updates to its platform yesterday.

Learners can now either applaud the teacher who uploaded the video lesson or suggest that some more work is needed. I think that’s a far better solution for the education space than the usual like or 5 star rating system as it gives a better feedback for the lesson creator.

Second feature are Topic Pages which sort the different ShowMe lessons in, you guessed it, popular topics and sub categories like Math, Science and Languages.

The third new feature is a revamped news feed that showcases the video lessons of the teachers you might follow even better.

Though those three changes are mainly on the design side, I think it makes the platform easier to browse and hence more valuable for learners.
