MasteryConnect is an online platform and social network that wants to help teachers in the transition for Common Core Standards by making it simple and easy for them to find, administer, score, and track student data from formative assessments.
The Common Core has been developed by the National Governors Association and Council of Chief State School Officers in 2009, released in June 2010 and adopted by 46 states and the District of Columbia. Its goal is to give teachers a single set of reading and math standards to define consistent expectations for the skills students need to be successful in college and beyond.
MasteryConnect connects educators across the states, gives them access to formative assessments and real time progress reports of the students in class which enables the teacher to create tailor made lessons for the individual needs of their students.
The seed funding was lead by NewSchools Venture Fund with participation of Learn Capital and imagine K12 (EDUKWEST interview).
