Back in December 2012 I took part in Online Educa Berlin, the largest global e-learning conference for the corporate, education and public service sectors.
One of the keynote speakers at the conference was the World Bank’s Sr. ICT & Education Policy Specialist Michael Trucano.
I took the chance for a quick interview with him and asked a few question on the state of e-learning in the developing world.
I was particularly interested in learning more about Internet penetration in general, the use of mobile devices, namely tablets and phones, in education and what he sees as some of the more innovative approaches in different countries of the developing world when it comes to implementing ICT in education.
You can find Michael’s blog on ICT use in Education here and follow him on Twitter @trucano.
