I felt it was time to invite another of the educational grown ups in our market. Christophe Ferrandou, founder and CEO of goFluent.com was kind enough to accept my invitation. In our interview Christophe gives detailed insight in how his company has evolved from giving English lessons by phone in the early 2000s into what goFluent is today: a market leader in distance English training specialized in the B2B sector with currently more than 450 professional trainers.
Besides an in depth demo of the interactive part of the product which is the e learning platform with interactive and video material as well as teacher reports I enjoyed listening to his take on our emerging industry and the different market segments. Edukwest viewers will understand why goFluent set the focus on individualized English training by professional coaches for the corporate world and Christophe elaborates why in his opinion the online teaching and learning market targeting the average consumer is a particularly challenging one.
goFluent have now started spreading their services into English tuition for primary school students and I tried to get some more information on where Christophe sees some exciting opportunities in the education 2.0 market today and in the coming months e.g. the cooperation goFluent and English Central have with NTT.
